Xenia Mastoraki

A landscape architect that connects us with our environment magically!

Xenia Mastoraki is a woman of great will power… she has been through a lot and survived… and not just survived but when I saw her and talked with her, I felt so alive from her inner smiling child and her pure spirit! Xenia is like a fairy-tale magical character…yes she sparkles! She is kind, authentic, believes in her cause with every living cell in her body and has a beautiful vision to bring everyone closer and to interact together harmoniously in our environment! She loves the nature and everything in it… cats, dogs, birds, trees, the sun, the rain etc…!

Xenia studied architecture in the National Technical University of Athens (Polytechnic) but wasn’t very convinced… it was when she participated in the Erasmus and lived in Florence, Italy, that she fell in love with the world and all its possibilities and got to know herself and her skills! She even became a DJ working in the best clubs of Florence! She took a coarse in landscape Architecture, and with the help of her professor, Xenia realised that she had found her dream and cause! She came back to Greece to get practise and experience before she did her Master’s degree. After 7 years she travelled to the UK for her Master’s only to find her “Mentor”! The person who has showed her the way and been there when she fell and pushed her right back up! Xenia came back again to Athens and established LandmArch to make a change in her country and to start with this beautiful land and to make it a symbol of landscape architecture!

Xenia Mastoraki says that landscape architecture is magical… a mixture of philosophy, history, culture, art… she says we become better people by interacting with our environment and everything in it! Landscape architecture brings us closer to our roots by mixing materials that respect each and every environment and by blending in its own culture and history to give us a reason to be outdoors connecting and interacting! She has projects that shape cities and urban areas, giving them identity and character and always in respect with the environments history and culture…

Xenia is full of passion fighting for her cause… She has so many internationally innovative projects on the way that will change our way of outdoor connecting, interacting, learning…
