I would like to introduce to you Stelios Kalathas, a very special man who has both, in a perfect equilibrium… in a way that pushes and pulls you! A man who enthralls you like a river feeling restless in its flow and rattles you like thunder! Stelios Kalathas has a hypnotizing yet mobilizing voice, soft green eyes that comfort your soul, strong presence making you feel noticed no matter if he is talking to you or not! As he is fully aware of everything going on around him at all times and without losing focus in what he is doing or saying… Multi-Focused! Stelios Kalathas has been an actor all his life…as a young child using his bed sheets as theater curtains and making his parents house into a theater for his primary school friends as they actually bought tickets to watch him perform, at the age of 6-7! He believes that life is acting, as we all play a great number of roles throughout our lives. He says acting is like therapy and personal growth; it helps us push ourselves and our limits further.
At the age of 12 with his school they produced a very sophisticated play by a very known screenwriter Fernando Arrabal and that was the start of his career! He knew right then that he wasn’t the same kid anymore but the famous boy who acted in his school… acting became his life! From then on Stelios Kalathas has been acting for over 20 years in an exceptionally long list of theatrical plays, from comedies to ancient tragedies, but also in 8 movies and over 20 famous TV serials.
Alongside with his acting career in 2004 he developed a method, an emotional intelligence therapy to help people get in touch with their feelings and emotions by expressing themselves in every way and with everyone through acting. He has mixed in meditations, breathing, various exercises, a great deal of fun and all under the umbrella of acting. His groups consist of all age groups and many different backgrounds and careers, but they are like family! I dropped in one of his two hour classes and felt right at home… they all welcomed me so warmly and made me feel truly connected with them! His seminars help you connect with yourself and others, feeling safe and confident, while learning to use all your 5 senses.
